The Additional Water Coverage† You Need For Your Home
Flooding and related sewer backup damage is costly for homeowners. In fact, in 2013 insurers paid out a record-high $3.2 billion to policyholders*. To offer our customers greater choice, we provide access to the following options for water damage coverage:
Limited Sewer Backup Endorsement
This coverage protects your property from direct physical loss or damage caused by backing-up or escape of water from a sewer, sump or septic tank. Additionally, in the event of an insured sewer back-up loss, we will pay up to $1500 in all to install an approved sewer back-up loss prevention device to protect the dwelling against the same kind of loss in the future.
Enhanced Water Coverage Endorsement
This coverage option provides all the coverage of the Limited Sewer Backup Endorsement, plus the enhanced protection against damage caused by fresh water flooding (including rapid and sudden melting of snow and ice) and damage caused by the escape of water from eaves troughs, downspouts and drains.
New Water Service Line Coverage Endorsement
Water service line is a new optional coverage that offers protection for the water and sewer lines connected to the dwelling. This coverage is available for homeowners and rental dwelling insurance policies and offers up to $15,000 in coverage.
